Preacher Man stands…
And scans that morning crowd As he ask that all heads be bowed Calling upon the God of Grace To impart His redemption in this place…
Preacher Man says…
Christ died for you on a cross of pain So that you could call out His name He took on what you could not Payment for your sin was His lot
Preacher Man shouts…
Did you come today thinking you are good? Did you come today because you should? Did on my Jesus you think of Him not? Able to save your lost soul of sins to blot…
Preacher Man points…
At the middle row at some who smirk Of what preacher man says of the cross work Shaking their heads to Hell they are bound He reminds them to turn and be found…
Preacher Man builds…
Upon the mercy of God so great Today is the day sinners, it’s not too late Trust in His death, burial, and resurrection please Not of works all you have to do is believe…
Preacher Man startles…
The man who slumbers in the rows of deep Don’t on my Jesus dare go to sleep Wake up oh you fool and hear His cry He died for your worthless life and crumbling lies…
Preacher Man wonders…
As he comes to his close, were they persuaded? How many heard The Gospel so plain and unaided He thinks someday in eternity he will find That God used him mightily to turn the blind…
Preacher man rests…
Now upon the good fight of FaithTo his rewards he goes to the One that Saith Well done my good and faithful friend Share with me now eternity without end…
Jeff Riley-Authors Note: Barry Hampton and I started out on the Grace journey in Houston in the Mid 80’s. In this poem, hopefully I have captured Barry in his zeal and dedication for the Lord as we visited the Star of Hope mission in Houston, 1986 I believe. We had a captive audience as one of the conditions of someone staying there was they had to go to Sunday morning service in the chapel/auditorium. Barry let them have it! He was on fire. This is how I remember him- Rest easy my brother---

Matthew Mark Luke and John's doctrine
Matthew 10:2 Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;
Matthew 10:3 Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;
Matthew 10:4 Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.
Matthew 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
Matthew 10:6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Matthew 10:7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Matthew 10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

Matthew 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Ephesians 3:8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
Ephesians 3:9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
Ephesians 3:10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
Ephesians 3:11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:
Ephesians 3:12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.
Ephesians 3:13 Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
Ephesians 3:14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Ephesians 3:15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
Ephesians 3:16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

Ephesians 3:18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
Ephesians 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Ephesians 3:21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
2 Thessalonians 3:17 The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.
