Let go and Let God

The moment I quit trying to “get saved” and simply let go of the endless effort and let God save me, I was blessed with a peace that is hard to describe with words. It is an absolute assurety, a warmth of emotions, the pure absence of conviction and turmoil.
Why God would love someone like me so much to allow me to partake of his blessings, I’ll never understand. All I know is that he provided a simple solution and we as fleshly humans want to make it hard; we want to make it our own battle or our own works. The truth of the matter is – it was all worked out for us. It was planned out perfectly – done by God’s works. His Son was sacrificed on our behalf and all we have to do is accept it – trust it – for salvation and know that we can only come unto the Father through Jesus Christ, His son. We can’t get there through our own works. Let go of anything you’re trying to do and rest in the finished work. Let God save you! “ Trust in Him!”
